Judith "Judy" Ann Brittain

Judith "Judy" Brittain

Judith "Judy" Brittain (Qualls) entered her sunset peacefully on January 2, 2025 surrounded by loved ones at her home in Yakima. She was 79.

Born October 4, 1945 to Alva and Eva (Brand) Qualls, Judy attended school in the Yakima Valley. She attended Toppenish High School.

Judy made Yakima her home, working in the area fruit warehouses and raising her family. During this time, she welcomed her two daughters and two sons.

In early 1990, she met the love of her life, Merlin James "Jim" Brittain. Soon after, they married and moved to Newport, Oregon. Judy lived in Newport (Yaquina Bay area) until the early 2000's before moving back to Eastern Washington to be closer to her family following Jim's passing.

Judy loved to garden, hunt, fish and go crabbing in the Bay. Spending time with her kids and grandkids was also dear to her heart.

She was a beloved mother, grandma, great grandma, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Judy joins her husband, parents, only brother, all three sisters, and one granddaughter in heaven.

She is survived by her daughters Teri (JT) Turnbull and Traci (Jay) Waters; sons, Keith (Jody) Hamsher and Kevin (Diane) Sybouts; step son Kurt Brittain; 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

At Judy's request, there will not be any services.
