Richard Berger passed away peacefully on Sat., May 25, 2019 at the Cottage in the Meadow. He was born on Sept. 3, 1940 to Stanley and Anna Berger in North Dakota. Richard served proudly in the Marines from 1960-1964.
Richard is survived by two sons, Richard and Chris Berger, and one daughter, Ann Brewer. Richard is also survived by brothers Gene Berger, Jerry Berger, John Berger, and Ted Berger, and sister Leona Leonard. Richard is also survived by many grandchildren who he loved very much. Richard is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Rose, his daughter Teresa Chelf Madron, brothers Nick Berger, Ed Berger, and Adolf Berger, and sister Elanor Kirk.
There will be a service held on June 14th at 2:00 PM at Rainier Memorial Center in Yakima, WA. Afterward there is a gathering of friends and family at Gene Berger’s residence. Burial will be Mon., June 17th at 2:00 PM at the Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent, WA 98042.
