Sandra Jane Hert, 69, of Yakima passed away Sunday, January 10, 2019. Sandra was born on January 17, 1950 in Yakima, one of six children of William and Halsey Hallie (Knowlton) Pace. Sandra was raised in White Swan and graduated from White Swan High School in 1968.
On January 11, 1969, she married Michael West. They had two sons, Mike (Chantel) West of Nampa, ID and William ‘Scott’ West of Yakima. They divorced in 1975. She married Charles Hert on July 29, 1978. They had a daughter, Tammy Crook of Yakima. Her children blessed her with three grandsons, Sean West of Nampa, ID and Zane and Dakota Crook of Yakima.
Sandra worked as a nurse’s aide most of her adult life prior to her retirement. She and Charles raised their family in Yakima, where she resided until her death. Sandra and Charles could often be spotted in their RV for large extended family camping trips. She could spend hours playing cards with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and her siblings, Bill Pace of Plymouth, MaryAnn Robbins of Tieton, Judy Dunlap of Union Gap, Richard Pace and Brian Pace both of Yakima, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Arrangements are under the directions of Rainier Memorial. Flowers should be sent to Rainier Memorial. Services will be held Friday, March 1, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at Rainier Memorial. Concluding services and burial will be in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
