Our beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend, Inez G. Velasquez, went home to our Lord Thursday, September 21st, 2017, surrounded by her family.
She was a strong woman of faith and a member of Templo de Jerusalém for over 40 years with her husband Daniel Velasquez by her side. Inez worked in nursing as a CNA for 30 years, working in the hospitals and nursing homes in the valley. She and her husband Daniel also fostered and cared for children in need. She was always there to help all in need, of all ages and backgrounds.
Inez is survived by her husband of 48 years, Daniel Velasquez; five sons, Tommy, Phillip, Richard, Gabriel and Rudy Torres; two daughters, Olga Cardenas (Manuel) and Ashley Torres (Angelo); one brother and two sisters; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Inez was loved and admired by many and will be greatly missed.
Viewing will be at Rainier Memorial Center, 2807 Terrace Heights Dr., Yakima September 26th, from 4 to 8 PM, with service on September 27th at 1 PM, with burial to follow at Terrace Heights Cemetery. Reception will be immediately after at Rainier Memorial Center.
