Luis Valdez was born in Toppenish, Washington.
He is survived by companion Karen Owens, son Alexander Owens, son Timothy Owens, daughter Monica Owens, siblings Joe Valdez, Jr., Richard Valdez, Albert Valdez, and Johnny Valdez, all of Yakima, Wash., Rosalinda V. Ramirez of Dallas, Texas, Gloria Jimenez of Yakima, Wash., Marta Soto of Texas, Alice Morfin of Zillah, Wash., and Maggie Saldana of Terrace Heights. Luis was preceded in death by his father Isidoro Valdez and mother Maria A. Rivas.
Funeral service will be held at Rainier Memorial Center, 2807 Terrace Heights Dr., Yakima, Wash. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24th from 4 to 8 PM with a Rosary at 6 PM, and Friday Mass will be held at 10 AM at the same place, August 25th.
