Regina E Heier (Berger), 87, of Yakima, Washington, passed peacefully at home on January 26th, 2018. She was born in Center, North Dakota on November 20th, 1930 to Katie and Michael Berger and was one of 6 brothers and sisters. Regina moved to Yakima, Washington with her husband Leonard Heier in the early 50’s where they raised 5 children.
She was preceded in death by her son John, her brothers Mike (Michael), Fritz (Peter), Laurence, her sister Annie (Anne), and her great-granddaughter Aleah. She is survived by her sister Margie and brother Bobbie (Robert); her sons, James (Jim) and Joseph (Joe); her daughters Janice and Joan; her 10 grandchildren and her 5 great-grandchildren.
While raising her family, Regina ran an in-home day care, owned and operated hotels and rentals, and worked in the kitchen at Bamboo Terrace for over 20 years. She also spent several years assisting the elderly in a retirement community.
Services for Regina will be at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Yakima on Tuesday, February 6th at 10 am with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
